Effective Teaching
In the first place, teachers should get students involved in discussion and encourage them to exchange ideas in class because discussing can let the students be more knowledgeable. When discussing with people of different experiences, students can always know a large number of knowledge which they have not touched before because discussion is a reflection of one's knowledge. When discussing, different people hold different types of knowledge which is ready to exchange. Take myself for example, when I discuss with many adults and teachers, I know there are a lot of abilities I have to get, such as study abilities, communication abilities, the abilities to read people and etc. Secondly, teachers should get students involved in discussion and encourage them to exchange ideas in class because exchanging ideas with fellow classmates helps students develop critical thinking, presentation skills and other kind of soft skillsets. When discussing issues with peers, students tend to take a position on a certain issue. In this learning process, students will collect their thoughts, synthesize the concepts learned in textbook or in the lecture to support his or her points. Also, to respond to other's comments, students have to reflect on the rationale of their own arguments and come up with persuasive reasoning. It is obvious that such activities help students to learn more meaningful and extensively. Furthermore, students unconsciously learn how to express themselves affirmatively and make their points clear in front of a large audience. It takes the right amount of eye contacts, body languages and facial expression to convey one's idea in a convincing way. Additionally, teachers should get students involved in discussion and encourage them to exchange ideas in class because actively issues with peers can help students cope with different opinions. When discussing issues with peers, not only do students contribute to the class, but also they get a chance to be exposed to different ideas and perspectives. This is a very conducive experience since we are not living in a vacuum and learning how to appreciate, value and even embrace opinions that are unfamiliar to us can be very important. Further more, such experience can be useful in one's future career when one also has to confront with different business solutions provided by coworkers?

Silk Road: Tea
The Silk Road was a series of historical trade routes that connected cultures of European and Asian countries. Hidden in Southwest China is a lesser-known trade route called Chamadao, literally translated as the Tea Horse Road, was a central trade route for the exchange of Tibetan horses and Chinese tea (Elaine). The route started in Southwest China, where tea was produced, led north into the Tibetan mountains and into India (Yang). Due to its economic and cultural impact, it has been dubbed the ââ¬Å"Southern Silk Road of Chinaâ⬠(Yang). Tea first originated from Yunnan, through China, to the rest of Asia, then to the West.In its earliest uses, tea was first used as food then concocted as medicinal brews. As more traditional tea drinking practices developed overtime. It began transmit to social hierarchy and developed status (Heiss 4,7). The origin of tea trade could be traced back to the Tang Dynasty. During the Tang dynasty, Emperor Dezong sent his supervisory official Chang Lu to visit Tibet. Chang Lu offered some boiled tea to the Tibetan king, who then asked what it was. When Chang answered, the king informed him that Tibet already had tea and had his servants show it to Chang (Yang). The Chinese were the main exporters of tea.The Tea Horse Road, or Chamadao, was a central trade route for exchanging Tibetan horses and Chinese tea. Though it is called the Tea Horse Road, other products such as salt, sugar and furs were also exchanged along this route. The increasing importance of tea in daily life led to high demand and set up many markets outside of Southern China (Whitfield 238). Tea trade further expanded after Europeans were introduced to it. Chinese Tea was traded as far as Kenya, Africa. Chamadao soon earned the title of ââ¬Å"Southern Silk Road of China,â⬠due to its importance in both economic and cultural aspects (Elaine).Tea played a great role in religion and politics. At the height of the tea tradeââ¬â¢s prosperity during the Min g Dynasty, a bureau was established to manage the horse and tea trade. During that time, the Ming Court often used the tea trade as a means of maintaining political control over Tibetan leaders and lamas. Farmers paid tea as tribute, or tax to the emperor, or ruler. The tea used in such tributes determined its quality (Yang). Tea was embraced by Chinaââ¬â¢s three great religionsââ¬âBuddhism, Confucianism and Daoism for its perceived healthful virtues and powers of rejuvenation .The holy leaders of these religions deemed the drink as a necessity and should be consumed by all practitioners. As each of these faiths spread, so did the practice of consuming tea (Heiss 10). In short, the lesser-known Tea Horse Road had great economic and cultural impact. Its cultural exchange and prosperity is comparable to the Silk Road in historical importance. This ââ¬Å"Southern Silk Roadâ⬠is no longer in use but its legacy continues to play a crucial role in the communication and exchan ge of present cultures.

Coping with a wafler
Dealing with People that Make Your Life Difficult Principles of supervision week 4 Individual work 2 Abstract This paper will discuss the waffled employee and how does It compare to a hasty person. The term ââ¬Å"waffledâ⬠generally refers to an individual who has a tough time making and sticking to decisions. Introduction A waffled is a person that stalls and changes his or her mind often. Most of the time, a ââ¬Å"waffledâ⬠means well but fears making the wrong decision. I honestly don't see anything wrong with a person not wanting to make the wrong decision.Just be mindful of the consequences. Waffled Like most of us, a when faced with a situation, a wafer will weigh in on the pros and cons. The only negative aspect to a wafer is that his or her stalling in a fast-paced environment can be seen as a problem. The best possible way to connect with a waffled Is to develop a professional relationship, one close enough to show her she Is welcomed or liked. The key goal to co ping with a waffled is make the Individual feel accepted, a part of the team. Making a suggestion like going to lunch or how was your keen, helps out a lot when faced with a waffled. It's best that when dealing with a waffled to always provide feedback, whether good back and let the individual know you are here to help. Waffled vs. hasty person I think a waffled will focus on fitting In versus a hasty person who doesn't care to fit In. A hasty person may often display a nasty demeanor toward others for no reason at all. They could be having a bad day and they will blame you for it. A waffled is usually a pleasant individual. I have a co-worker on my job, who upon completion of this assignment, reminds me of a wafer.

Ethical Relativism and its Beliefs Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Ethical Relativism and its Beliefs - Assignment Example This argument is true because from the past, cultures were isolated and people had little information about other cultural practices. Today, people consider their practices and traditions in their own cultures, which have existed over the years, in determining what is ethical. Even with information technology and the widespread use of the internet, it would be ignorant to think that there is a universal way of determining what is ethical. It is not wise to think that one cultureââ¬â¢s way of doing things is the best way of doing things. Cultural diversity still exists around the world. For the instant, after the recent terror attacks in Paris, where the main target was a satirical magazine called Charlie Hebdo, people in France felt that the attack was an attack on freedom of speech. As a result, the magazine published magazines with Prophet Mohamed on the front cover. Many French people supported the magazine and saw this as a way of fighting for their freedom of speech. In this country and the rest of the western countries, the publication of the magazine was ethical. However, this was not the case in the Arab and Muslim countries who considered the action unethical and a mockery to the prophet and to the Muslim religion. This example clearly shows that it is not reasonable to assume that people interpret what is ethical in the same way. The theory of ethical relativism is also valid because it avoids ethnocentrism. This means that the theory does not judge another culture based on another culture instead. Ethnocentrism makes one culture look more superior to the others. It is argued that such thoughts are a form of discrimination just like sexism and racism (Hinman, 2013). Ethnocentric people devalue and look down on other cultures. If religious opinions are brought into this debate, more cultural differences can be identified. There are different religious opinions on what is right and what is wrong.Ã

The increase in labor productivity increases the production of the two goods. Therefore, the production possibility curve shifts outward as shown
Qualitative analysis of (In)civility project Research Paper
Qualitative analysis of (In)civility project - Research Paper Example The application of information in the communication sector based on the grounded theory is based on empirical data collected towards making affirmations on different views. The concept of education is best understood as a process in which information is acquired through listening, watching or through any other senseThe medium by which education is passed on to the audience is a subject of controversy especially where technology is involved. Technology, as a medium of educational exchange, has numerous challenges. One of the challenges is the measure by which education can be dispersed from the source to the recipient. In education, the lack of a measure in the amount and quality of information provided to the user is a challenge to the education sector. The comparison of education that incorporates technology is done based on the print form of education. However, the differences between the two forms of educational media are the same as with print media and the preceding oral traditio ns. Just as the current opposition against the incorporation of technology in education is a cause of debate, when print media was being incorporated in education, the existing system had to adapt to the changes being made (Scalise, 2007). I posit that education should be facilitated to the interpersonal level, which can be best achieved by the use of technology in discouraging some of the incivility in the community. Description I have had the opportunity of studying behavior of kids in social work such as in the organization, solutions for change. It is an experience I feel helped to foster a good understanding of the roles, responsibilities, expectations, and requirements in the Social Work career. I have worked in a number of firms in various capacities. My culmination has been the need to advance my education in order to take up my social work career. By employing my skills in understanding the children, I believe that communication and availing information as suggested in the conduct of the grounded theory shall contribute to the success of the incivility elimination pursuit. Characteristics such as empathy, sensitivity, and respect for others are elemental to being an effective social worker, let alone a member of the society. Having the aforementioned qualities is an advantage and I believe that this edge, in relation to ethics, will help me deliver services effectively as a social worker. I hope to major in Clinical Social Work and eventually start my own private practice offering various social services to the immediate and surrounding community. Understanding the perils of the populations vulnerable to social challenges such as bullying and discrimination within the society is one of the areas I seek to focus on. This is with the aim of ensuring social injustices emanating from these challenges are eliminated or reduced. Having undergone the perils of discrimination and bullying, I believe that I am able to perform the role of a social worker effect ively. Analysis Firsthand experience on some of the problems that various social groupings face compels me into helping people the best way I can. This is by acquiring and implementing knowledgeable skills of social work, and consequently transferring these skills to parties suffering silently in the society. I am a victim of bullying, and in spite of this bad experience, I helped other people going through the same predicament since it helped me understand and cultivate the desire to overcome and pursue life challenges. I am a not a typical American, which has contributed to my yearning for an opportunity to help individuals facing discriminatory conduct based on their race, ethnicity, origin, or social background. After the two major company united, in October they launched two models; Nokia Lumia 880 and Nokia Lumia 710 (Pulkkinen, 2011). Also with this tendency of competition, consumers have a wide variety of product to choose from and at an affordable price (Morris, 2009). Presently, it is viewed that the market or the industry trend has changed to a perfect competition; there is no dominant company in the market. Each company is trying to manufacture best possible product than what the other company can produce. In the short term run, the major dominant or the giant company in the industry will enjoy the market as a result companies known and trusted names. The new company has never been on the market before and there product has never been used before; it will be difficult for them to penetrate into the market.
